3 Statement of Food Sharing




1st statement is about how they share their culture and food with children in Uganda. They want to continue passing down their culture to future generations, and they are starting with food as a way to do so.

2nd statement, Pop Up dinner that shares a culture, it is a new way to cook and hosting a meal for others by exploring other culture and memories. pop-ups offer cooks a way to say, through food: “This is my history. This is who I am.”

3rd statement, Oromo Student Union (OSU) hopes to bring together students and their own cultural cuisines, letting no meal go unshared. One of the interviewees said how everyone would gather outside and eat meals together. She also added that eating food at someone else’s house is a sign of respect.
